How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say Zion, "Your God reigns!"
God blessed us with this home as a place of refuge and restoration. Jenny's legacy of love remains evident here. As God is writing a new chapter in our story, and our family continues to grow, these mountains are still place of rest. We hope that your stay here is a blessing as well. You'll be located within a few miles of downtown Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Pisgah National Forest hiking trails. With 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, you'll have plenty of room for the entire family.
Park in the lower gravel drive or in the driveway by the screened porch. The keypad unlocks the front door (We’ll text you the code). Open the blinds. Set thermostat (in hallway) to desired temperature.
The coffee K-Cups are in the large ceramic jar. Trash bags are under the sink. When a bag is full, tie it and put it in the black trash can on the back deck with the lid on it. All trash will need to go with you or to the waste convenience center at 5600 221 South at the end of your stay. Cook or eat out, your choice! Wash dishes by hand or in the dishwasher, it's up to you!
Upstairs and Downstairs televisions have Netflix, Prime, etc. There is high speed wireless internet (we will text you the password). The HomePod Mini can connect to your iPhone for music. I can send you an invitation to join the Hub. There are cards and board games in the drawers below the television upstairs.
Clean sheets and towels are in the hall closet and the back bedroom closet. Washer and Dryer are downstairs (only dry on timed mode).
Don't miss it on a clear day! The sunrise is beautiful off the back deck or the screened porch. If you're up for a little hike, search for Gorge View Drive on google maps and follow the walking directions from the house. Leave about 20 minutes before sunrise. You can always go back to bed! Sunset from Rough Ridge is a good choice, and although you won't see the sun actually setting, the colors are fantastic from Beacon Heights or the Linn Cove Viaduct.
Blowing Rock is busy year round with shops, restaurants, the park, and festivals. Hiking trails along the Parkway are a must do. Moses Cone has miles and miles of trails. The Flat Top trail to the fire tower is a favorite. Bass Lake is a nice stroll any season. Rough Ridge, Green Knob, Beacon Heights, Boone Fork, and Price Lake are all within a few miles of the house. The trail heads can be found on google maps. Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls are not too far and well worth it. If you are up for a real challenge, the Profile Trail to Callaway Peak will not disappoint.

Turn off all lights, set thermostat on Heat 50 degrees or Cool 74 degrees, depending on the season. Take trash to the convenience center on 221 or with you. Lock all screened doors and both sliding doors. Lock the deadbolt to the screened porch, close the front blinds (leave the curtains opened in the front bedroom) and lock the front door.
If you can't figure it out, hopefully we can help! Just relax and enjoy these beautiful mountains!
